During our experience, we will discuss involvement opportunities and explore the impact of agricultural education. As the Texas FFA Association has positively influenced our lives, we have the opportunity to do the same for future generations of FFA members.
           
Oh The Places You Will Go…with Holt CAT

Holt CAT is the largest Caterpillar dealership of heavy equipment in the United States. As an industry leader in Heavy Equipment sales and service, Holt is experiencing phenomenal growth. In response to this growth, Holt has developed several programs to meet the employee requirements needs. Rick Elmore, Retired Agriculture Science Instructor, oversees these programs ranging from “Paid” internships to the Holt Ready Tech initiative. Rick will provide the information on preparing your Instructors, FFA Advisors, and Members for participation in these initiatives that provide world-class opportunities to those students enrolled in Agricultural Mechanics, Diesel Technology, Manufacturing, and other Business-related pathways. Discussions will include program support through donations, “Dealer Excellence Funds” and Advisory Committee participation.

Farm Babe has hundreds of thousands of followers and an average social media reach of 4+ million monthly. She’s been featured in Forbes & has caught the attention of the Today Show, Inside Edition, CNN, People magazine, and more... a guest on Dr Drew, has influenced corporations as powerful as Burger King, and has proudly spoken alongside some of the biggest names in food and farming today.

This workshop is designed to make all students aware of their options after high school. We will explore Career Readiness and Career Pathways in 15 different STEM Careers. We will highlight what students need to look for as they explore career options including the tape measure of life. Students will learn what education is required for each STEM pathway and that college is not for everyone or even necessary for a successful career.
