Advisors,
Please be reassured that Texas FFA is continuously monitoring the possibility of severe weather conditions. Your safety and the safety of all of our attendees is our top priority, and we are committed to keeping you informed.
We are in close collaboration with Houston officials, who believe that while Houston is likely to experience heavy rains during the convention, hurricane-force winds are not currently anticipated. This shared understanding and effort reassure us that there is no immediate threat to the safety and security of our guests. We will continue to keep you informed as we know more or if the situation changes. George R Brown and our security team have plans in place to keep convention attendees safe. Texas FFA will share any necessary alerts by email and via text as we learn more.
We encourage you to stay informed about all conditions in your local area to determine if travel to and from the convention is safe. Your awareness and proactive approach to your safety are important.
For your peace of mind, all safety and security resources, including the location of AEDs, evaluation routes, etc., are readily available on the Texas FFA Convention website. We encourage you to familiarize yourself with these resources to ensure your preparedness.
