Convention Schedule
This year’s convention schedule can be found on the Texas FFA Convention website. We have many offerings available throughout the week, including an extensive workshop line up.
Convention Parking
A map of convention parking garages (with clearances indicated) can be found here. Temporary parking passes along with instructions will be emailed out this week.
Convention Pin Challenge
New this year, students and advisors can collect limited edition pins by engaging in the various convention components. Click here to learn more!
Convention Days of Service
The Convention Days of Service are now posted on JudgingCard for July 8 and July 9 along with the Days of Service T-shirt pre-order. Be sure and review all available options as well as the instructions for each location to determine the best fit for your chapter. Big thanks to our friends as Weimar FFA for coordinating these impactful events!
Convention Service Drive
The Texas FFA Association is excited to give back through the State of Texas Agriculture Relief Fund (STAR) for our annual convention service project. The Texas Department of Agriculture's STAR Fund donations may be used to assist farmers, ranchers, and agribusiness owners in rebuilding fences, restoring operations, and paying for other agricultural disaster relief. Chapters are encouraged to bring monetary donations to the registration booth during convention.
Texas FFA Rodeo
The Texas FFA Rodeo will be held on Sunday, July 7 and Monday, July 8 at the Billy Morgan Rodeo Area in Katy, Texas. Spectator information can be found here with additional information to be provided to registered participants.
Texas FFA Convention Housing Update
Please contact hotels directly for any questions or changes to your reservations. Please plan to send your state tax exempt form and rooming list to the hotel prior to arrival to make your check in process as smooth as possible. Additionally, if you plan to pay with a check, please make arrangements for that to be sent directly to the hotel prior to convention.
Delegate Business Session Information
The 2024 Delegate Business Session Packet has been updated to include the 2024-2025 Texas FFA Association budget and is available on the Texas FFA Convention website under Planning>Delegate Information>2024 Business Session. This packet includes the Business Session Agenda, standing rules, 95th Annual Business Session Minutes, and proposed amendments to the Texas FFA Constitution.
The business session will be held on Tuesday, July 9 at 9 am in the General Assembly Hall of the George R. Brown Convention Center in Houston, Texas. The Business Session will be closed to any persons other than registered delegates, current and incoming state officers, area coordinators, area leadership coordinators, state staff, production staff, and any other essential personnel identified by the Executive Director.
Chapter/Student Notification Letters
All award notification letters have been posted here on the convention website. Please reference this information for stage recognition instructions and banquet information. Don’t forget to use the ready to edit Press Releases to announce your student awards and degree recipients in your community.
Local Attractions and Discounts
While planning your convention trip, please visit this website for a list of tours, discounts, and local attractions. For example, your chapter can take in a Houston Astros baseball game since discounted tickets are available for three nights!
Meals and Planning
This year's convention Feedlot information can be viewed here! We have also provided a list of other options that are downtown near the center. There will be concessions available throughout the George R Brown Convention Center including a food court in the exhibit hall.
Houston Safety and ADA
Your safety is of the utmost importance to us. We’ve compiled a number of helpful resources on the convention website to help keep you safe and make sure all elements of the convention are accessible to all. If your chapter has an advisor or a student who requires additional ADA accommodations that are not accounted for on the convention website, please contact Mary@texasffa.org with that information.
Alumni Auction
The Texas FFA Alumni are motivated to raise money at their annual auction, held in conjunction with the Texas FFA Convention on Thursday night. The auction is the alumni's primary source of funding for the awards, grants, and scholarships we bestow on worthy candidates. If you, or your chapter, or someone you know would like to contribute, please feel free to email whitek@ltisdschools.org.
