Texas FFA Advisors and Members,

As per the Texas FFA Constitution Article XVII, Section A:

All proposed amendments to the Texas FFA Constitution and/or Bylaws must be submitted by the State Executive Director to the local chapters at least 30 days prior to the next State FFA Convention. The State FFA Officers shall present the amendments to the delegates at the State Convention. An amendment to the State FFA Constitution may be adopted by a two-thirds vote of the votes cast by the official delegates at the State Convention.

Please find the Delegate Business Session Packet linked below, which includes the standing rules, agenda, and proposed amendments that will be presented to the Texas FFA Delegation during the 97th Annual Texas FFA Convention in Fort Worth, Texas. This packet includes two proposed amendments for consideration. Amendment I was brought forth by the 2024-2025 State Officer Team, while Amendment II was brought forth as a staff recommendation to allow areas to determine the leadership structure of their area officer teams. Additional rationale for each amendment can be found within the delegate packet.

Additionally, a memo regarding delegate allocation is linked. While the board is not recommending any specific action at this time, the continued growth of our organization and convention necessitates thoughtful consideration of potential adjustments to our delegate model. We are initiating this conversation to invite your feedback and potential action recommendations from our membership as we plan for sustainable governance.

Please note that this packet will be updated after the June Q4 Texas FFA Board of Directors Meeting to include the proposed budget for the 2025-2026 fiscal year. Please contact the Texas FFA State Office for questions regarding these proposed amendments or the delegate process.
