Dear FFA Members and Advisors,
As we continue with an exciting week of leadership, recognition, and connection, I wanted to share just a few friendly reminders to help things run smoothly for everyone:
- No outside food is allowed inside the convention center. Please enjoy snacks and meals at your hotels or in the Water Gardens, but refrain from bringing food into the convention building.
- The 9th Street Entrance will be open before each session. Please consider using this entrance.
- Early access is one hour to the session start time, doors will open to everyone, including delegates will be 45 minutes before the session begins. Award and scholarship recipients do not require early access.
- Delegates must have white bracelet to get on the floor for each session.
- Knives or sharp tools are not permitted in the convention center. If you have them, leave them at your hotel.
- Please treat all security personnel with respect. They are here to keep everyone safe and maintain the flow of the convention. If they ask you to move or redirect you, they are simply following the instructions we’ve provided. Please be respectful and remember to set a positive example for your students.
- If you encounter an issue or have a concern, please find a staff member or board member. We are here to help support you.
- Be mindful at the hotels. We are not the only guests, so please be courteous, keep noise levels down, and represent Texas FFA with pride. Watch your language and actions, our goal is to lead by example in every setting.
- Members receiving scholarships or awards will be permitted to enter the arena with the general attendees. You do not need early access to the arena. There will be plenty of time to get to the Awards Seating Section (Section 318) prior to your recognition on stage.
- Shuttles between Farrington Field and the Convention Center are for advisors only. Only adults with the shuttle wristbands will be allowed to board the buses - please drop students at the center in the morning prior to parking at Farrington Field, and leave them at a designated spot inside the center for pickup after the drive rides the shuttle to go pick up the bus.
- The Texas FFA Convention website and mobile app reflect the most up-to-day workshop schedule. We hope you encourage your students to attend.
Thank you for being here and for playing such an important role in making this convention meaningful. Your presence, enthusiasm, and leadership help make Texas FFA what it is.
Let’s make it a great week!
