Due to FIFA events taking place in the DFW area around our convention dates, schools that have traditionally booked hotels outside of the Texas FFA housing block are finding significantly higher rates and are now looking to book within the block. This creates a challenge, as Texas FFA must sign a contract with each hotel included in the housing block and cannot take on the liability of adding chapters that have not historically booked within the block.

Our housing block is built based on the number of rooms sold and actualized in past years, which limits our ability to expand availability beyond those projections. Please keep in mind that many schools reserve more rooms than they ultimately need, and as those rooms are released, additional availability may open over the next several weeks.

We sincerely understand the frustration this may cause and are truly sorry for the difficulty this creates for our chapters. Please know that we have been proactive in our planning, have added rooms where possible, and will continue to closely monitor availability as we work to support schools in every way we can. Convention and the housing process truly take all of us working together, and we appreciate your patience and partnership.

As a reminder, the Texas FFA housing block will open today at 4:00 p.m. Orchid will be standing by to assist if you experience any issues during the booking process. As in most years, we anticipate rooms will sell out quickly; we ask for your patience and encourage you to check back over the next several weeks as we expect additional rooms to become available when chapters release unneeded reservations.
