Convention Registration
Convention registration will open at 4 pm on TODAY, Monday, May 6. Registration will be completed via the Texas FFA Roster System. All students and advisors must have a completed waiver before registering. Specific information regarding convention pricing can be found here. The Registration deadline for chapters is 5 pm on June 21st. No changes to registration will be permitted after this deadline. Feedlot information can be found here for your planning purposes.
Texas FFA Rodeo
The Texas FFA Rodeo will be held on Sunday, July 7 & Monday, July 8 at the Katy Rodeo Grounds. Registration for the rodeo will open today, May 6 along with convention registration. Please note the change to the registration process. More information regarding the rodeo can be found here with more information to be provided to registered participants.
Texas FFA Convention Housing Update
There are currently rooms available through the Texas FFA Housing Block If you do not have hotel rooms yet, be sure to revisit the housing website over the next few weeks as more rooms will become available. Please contact jennifer@texasffa.org for housing assistance.

As a reminder, reservations made at non-headquarter hotels can be canceled or changed without penalty until May 17. Rooms canceled after May 17 will be subject to a charge of 1 night room and tax for each room canceled. Reservations made at Marriott Marquis, Hilton Americas, or Hyatt Regency Houston are non-cancelable and non refundable after March 15, 2024. Rooms canceled at these hotels after March 15 will be charged 1 night room and tax for each room canceled.
Please plan to send your state tax exempt form and rooming list to the hotel prior to arrival to make your check in process as smooth as possible. Additionally, if you plan to pay with a check, please make arrangements for that to be sent directly to the hotel prior to convention.
Delegate Business Session Information
The 2024 Delegate Business Session Packet is now available on the Texas FFA Convention website under Planning>Delegate Information>2024 Business Session. The packet is also linked here. This packet includes the Business Session Agenda, standing rules, 95th Annual Business Session Minutes, and proposed amendments to the Texas FFA Constitution. The proposed budget will be added after the 4th Quarter Board Meeting of the Texas FFA Board of Directors.
The business session will be held on Tuesday, July 9 at 9 am in the General Assembly Hall of the George R. Brown Convention Center in Houston, Texas. The Business Session will be closed to any persons other than: registered delegates, current and incoming state officers, area coordinators, area leadership coordinators, state staff, production staff, and any other essential personnel identified by the Executive Director.
Convention Courtesy Corps
Courtesy Corps members were announced on Friday, May 3. A list can be found here on the convention website. Please know that this list will change as we replace members who are no longer able to attend.
Golden Owl Award
The new Golden Owl Award, sponsored by Texas Farm Bureau, recognizes agricultural educators for their tremendous contributions to helping the next generation of agricultural leaders. Students, parents, fellow teachers and other supporters can nominate their favorite agricultural teacher and summarize what makes him or her the best in the state. All information and nomination form can be found here.
Deadline for nominations is May 23rd, 2024.
Local Attractions and Discounts
While planning your convention trip, please visit this website for a list of tours, discounts, and local attractions. For example, your chapter can take in a Houston Astros baseball game since discounted tickets are available for three nights! The Texas FFA staff will continue to add additional information as it becomes available.

This year's convention onsite dining information is now online! We have also provided a list of other options that are downtown near the center.
Texas FFA In Memoriam
As part of the 2024 Texas FFA Convention, the Texas FFA Association would like to honor those current FFA members, alumni, or advisors who may have been taken from us in the period of July 2023- May 2024. Please complete this form by June 1st, 2024, if you know anyone who should be recognized during this year's convention.
